Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Decluttr. Please also review our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle your data.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Decluttr, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the application.

2. Description of Service

Decluttr is a task and calendar planning application. It lets you create and organize tasks (with attributes such as impact, effort, due date/time, location, and tags), view them on a calendar and in list views, receive task reminders, and optionally sync tasks with Google Calendar.

3. User Accounts

You sign in to Decluttr using your Google account; Decluttr does not maintain a separate password for your account. You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure and for all activity that occurs through your Decluttr account.

You agree to use your account only for its intended purpose and not to share your session or attempt to access another user's account or data.

4. Google Calendar Integration

You may optionally connect one or more Google accounts to sync tasks with Google Calendar. If you do:

  • Authorization is controlled entirely by you, through Google's own consent screen — Decluttr never sees your Google password.
  • Decluttr accesses Calendar data only to provide the scheduling functionality described in our Privacy Policy.
  • You can disconnect a connected account, or turn off syncing, at any time from Settings.
  • Decluttr does not control Google Calendar or Google's services, and is not responsible for their availability or behavior.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use Decluttr for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another user's account or data.
  • Attempt to compromise, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the application or its infrastructure.
  • Interfere with other users' use of the service.
  • Use automated means to abuse or overload the service.

6. Intellectual Property

Decluttr's software, design, and branding are owned by its operators and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the task content you create in Decluttr; you grant us only the access needed to store and display it back to you, and, where you enable it, to sync it with Google Calendar.

7. Third-Party Services

Decluttr integrates with Google (sign-in and, optionally, Google Calendar). Your use of Google's services is governed by Google's own terms and policies, including the Google Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.

8. Availability and Changes

We may add, change, or remove features over time, and the service may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or due to factors outside our control, including outages of third-party services we rely on. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

9. Termination

You may stop using Decluttr and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate access to accounts that violate these Terms, misuse the service, or attempt to compromise its security.

10. Disclaimer

Decluttr is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Decluttr and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service, including loss of data or missed tasks or events.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when we post the updated Terms on this page, with the "Last updated" date above revised accordingly. Continued use of Decluttr after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
